William “Bill” Dove

William (Bill) Dove, 72, born on November 26, 1940 passed away on March 10, 2013 in his Turlock home with his family at his side.
Bill was born in Modesto, Ca. to Samuel and Vera Dove. He lived in the Turlock area growing up. He attended school in Delhi and Livingston High School. Bill married Joyce Hardin in June of 1961. He worked as a truck driver for Hartvicksons for 20 years, Golden West for a short time and then retired from Fairbanks (Gallo) Trucking after 30 years.
Bill enjoyed being with his family and friends, going to coffee out at the Almond Tree and fixing up old tractors. Not a day would go by that he wasn’t wearing his cowboy boots and hat.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Vera Dove, his wife Joyce Dove of 47 years, and his dogs Bo and Sage. He is survived by his children Mike (Carla) Dove and Sherry (Randy) Brown, his grandchildren Jeffery, Michael, Brandon (Molly) Dove and Sara (Chris) Machado and Cody Brown, great grandson Brendon Dove, Sisters Violet Rodriguez, Betty Worley, Linda (Paul) Brown, Joyce (Steve) Boggs, Stepbrother James Warner, Brother in law Lewis (Rosemary) Hardin, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, companion Lahoma Segura and his dog Taffy.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, March 15th at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.  A funeral will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 16th, also at Turlock Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
