Arlene Welch, 73, of Delhi, passed way Thursday at Emanuel Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born January 1938 in Newman to the late John and Josephine Costa.
She was a ward clerk at Emanuel Medical Center for 16 years and settled in Delhi nine years ago. Above all, Arlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her blessings and treasures in life were her family and the memories they share. 
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Welch; two daughters, Tina Brazil of Turlock and Pamela Viveiros of Delta, Utah; grandchildren, Nicholas Brazil, Amber Fleming, Rainie Brazil, Kristin Viveiros and Layna Jones; great grandchildren, Destiny Fleming, Lucas Fleming, Christine Fleming and Keaton Jones; and sisters, Barbara Souza of Turlock and Mary Waggoner of Hyampon, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at Allen Mortuary. Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com.
