Richard “Big Daddy” Gregory was born in San Jose to Arthur and Judy Gregory in 1956. He was raised in Milpitas and graduated from Milpitas High School. Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1977 during the Vietnam War. He taught automotive repair and service working at ATCOA North. In 1989, he opened Turlock Appliance. He enjoyed volunteering at numerous motorcycle shops in the area. He enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was known for being a friendly, outgoing and happy man who was also an awesome husband, great dad and loving papa, son
and brother.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Shawn; mother, Judy Gregory; daughters, Tawnya Galvan of Turlock and Cassidy Gregory of Manteca; siblings, Dale Gregory of Boulder Creek and Karen Lynas of Modesto; grandchildren, Courtney Espinoza, Ariana Galvan, Carlos Galvan and Morgan Marie Gregory. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; uncle, Jerry Gregory; and aunts, Frances Hoegel and Donna Gregory. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Gregory.

Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 at Allen Mortuary.  A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, also at Allen Mortuary. Burial to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
