Muriel H. Fields

July 1917 — April 2011

Muriel H. Fields, 93, was born in Pasadena and passed away April 20 at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Emery L. Fields; her parents, Charles and Jesse Ritzel; and sister, Eileen Rickert. 
Muriel is survived by three loving daughters, Carol (Wayne) Gladwin of Corvallis, Ore., Marsha (Gordon) Nelson of Jacksonville, Ala. and Jennifer (Ed) Arnhold of Marietta, Ga.; son, Bruce (Marji) Fields of San Mateo; grandchildren, Rachel (Chris) Williams, Erik Nelson, Hilary (Philip) Goetz, Derek Gladwin, Heidi Arnhold, Wesley (Katie) Arnhold, Candace and Jesse Fields; great grandchildren, Evan and Zane Williams; brother-in-law, Rick Rickert; and close friend, Wallace Hall. She also leaves behind three nieces and three nephews.
Muriel dearly loved each one of her family members and will be greatly missed. She will especially be remembered and appreciated for her strong Christian faith and desire to pray for any concerns of her family and friends. 
After living in her San Carlos home for 54 years, Muriel made the transition to life at Covenant Village in Turlock where she enjoyed continued friendships with many longtime friends. 
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 at Berg Hall, Covenant Village of Turlock.
The family wishes to thank all the staff of the TNRC and Hospice of Emanuel for their excellent care of our mother.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to:  Hospice of Emanuel, P.O. Box 819005, 
Turlock, CA 95381 or Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO 80997.
