Gladys Schmidt

POSTED May 20, 2011 10:35 p.m.
Our beloved “Nana” passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson following a short illness.  A California native and long time Turlock resident, Gladys was active in the community with husband, Bob, and the Turlock Rural Fire Department auxiliary. She later moved to Modesto residing at Standiford Place and will be missed by many friends.  Gladys was an avid artist and knitter over the years, leaving us a legacy of paintings and warm clothing to help remember her. Our best memories of Nana though are of her loving and cheerful nature that all who knew her can treasure.
She is survived by her son, Dan Schmidt; granddaughter, Molly Wheeler; and grandsons, Rob and Scott Harlan.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 22 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.  Burial will be private at Turlock Memorial Park.
Please share your memories and condolences at www.turlockmemorialpark.com.
