Anna Tsymbal, 90, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Anna was born in Vilkhova, Ukraine to Prokip and Anastasia Tsymbal. She lived through very tough times, surviving the starvations of 1933 and 1947, as well as World War II. She finished school with seven classes. She worked her whole life as a farmer. She raised two children, Tony and Vera. Anna came to America and became a U.S. citizen. 
Anna is survived by her two children, Anatoliy (Maria) Tsymbal of Turlock and Vera Tsymbal of Kiev, Ukraine; sister, Rubzova Yelena of Zudovka, Ukraine; 13 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation for Anna will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, in Turlock. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25 at New Life Christian Church, 1543 College Ave., in Modesto. Burial will follow at Valley Home Memorial Park in Oakdale. 
Memorial contributions may be considered in Anna’s name for the New Life Christian Church.
