Cecilia “Cece” Mae Watts, 74, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, with her family by her side in Modesto.
Cece was born March 12, 1937, at home in Los Banos to Manual Rego and Mary Rose Miranda. Cecilia grew up in Los Banos, where she attended Los Banos High School and thereafter met and married her husband of 48 years, Donald Watts. Cece entered into a 25-year career with Signetic’s Corporation from where she retired and eventually settled in Hilmar. She was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar and was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend and neighbour.
Cece devoted much of her time and energy to the interests and well being of her family and was known to guide and affirmatively stand behind her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren under any circumstances.
Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Susan Mears; son, Manual Watts; grandchildren, Michael Armer, Amanda  and her spouse, Bobby Roe, and  Jordan and Tristan Watts; great grandchildren, Preston and Denae Roe and Brook and Tiffany Armer; her sister, Rosie Martin; and brother, Albert Miranda.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in remembrance of her son Donnie, who lost his fight to cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock. Cece will be put to rest at Hilmar Cemetery.
