S. Mehanga Singh Sohal

February 1930 — May 2011

Mehanga Singh Sohal passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Athoula Jalandhar Punjab, India where he served proudly in his country’s Army until he immigrated to the United States in 1989.
Mehanga was always volunteering in our community either in his church or just for people he knew. He enjoyed working on the farm. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren very much and they will miss him deeply.
Mehanga leaves behind his loving wife, Gurdeep Kaur; children, Talwinder Sohal, Tarlochan Sohal and Surinder Kaur Chatha, all of Livingston, Daljit K. Tirath of Turlock, Sukhjit K. Sangha of Bakersfield and
Yadwinder Sohal of Madera; many grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, also at Allen Mortuary.
