Community volunteers, city employees, and employees of Sunnyside Farms assemble a new play structure in Bristol Park.

POSTED July 19, 2011 9:52 p.m.

Community volunteers, city employees, and employees of Sunnyside Farms came together on Saturday to assemble a new play structure in Bristol Park.

The play structure, which was created by Progressive Design Playgrounds, features two slides, swings, monkey bars and climbing equipment. Steve James, executive director of the California Milk Processors Board, said that the structure is made out of recycled plastic and containers, and probably quite a few milk jugs.

CMPB offered to donate half of the money for a play structure to a city nominated by a member processor. They sent out a notice, and Sunnyside Farms of Turlock responded.

“They jumped at the opportunity to bring this to their community,” James said.
