Thanks to local efforts, Turlock Family Network celebrated a special Christmas party for past and present clients Thursday evening.

The event took place in the Salvation Army Gymnasium, which was turned into a “Winter Wonderland” for the night, and provided low-income families a Christmas feast, presents for the youth, and craft stations. Santa Claus also took part in the celebration with a sack full of candy canes for the children.

TFN Director Beverly Spielman said the event was a total success and couldn’t have been done without the help of the Turlock community.

“Twenty-eight families really needed the extra help this holiday season. That is why I am so happy that all the families were adopted this year, and they are all going to have a Christmas. I’m just amazed. We’ve been blessed by the whole community,” Spielman said.

The Turlock Family Network is nonprofit organization that provides parenting classes and resources for area families. To find out how to donate, or to become part of any upcoming programs, call Beverly Spielman at 668-3363, or email: beverlys_tfn@att.net.
