History of business:  Located in the second oldest building in downtown Turlock, Rex Klein Insurance has been helping people with their life insurance coverage for decades.

With nearly 50 years of experience under his belt, Klein began his career in the insurance industry in Kansas in 1962.

“I was working with the National Life and Accident Insurance Company,” said Klein.  “I rose to Divisional Supervisor and then to District Manager.  I relocated during the 80s to start my own independent health insurance agency.”

As a licensed Life Agent, Klein and his staff provide coverage and service for people throughout the Central Valley.

“I’ve been in the business for quite some time now,” said Klein.  “We specialize in health and medical insurance coverage and benefits for individuals, families, groups, employee benefits and Medicare Supplements for seniors.”

Klein's main concern in business has always been to help people and he treats clients as part of the family.

“We will help anyone that walks through the front door,” said Klein.  “We pride ourselves in service and taking care of our people's problems.  We have decades of experience under our belt.”

Business specialty:  Aside from selling insurance, Klein is quite the art aficionado.  A former city art commissioner, he donates his wall space to local artists.

“Many artists don’t have the opportunity to showcase their art to the public,” said Klein.  “This is a way to give back to the community."

Through the Turlock Community Art Gallery inside his office Klein showcases the talents of 25 local artists.

“I love art,” he said.  “One hundred percent of the proceeds are given to the artists and I am happy that I can contribute by displaying their work.”
