Bboy competition open to all

Mookie Washington will host a Bboy competition and teach master classes in Hip Hop at the Center for Urban Performance and Service at Westside Ministries.

Internationally known Hip Hop artist and Bboy Mookie Washington will host a Bboy competition with master classes to follow in Turlock on Monday.

The Bboy competition is free and open to all. It will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Center for Urban Performance and Service at Westside Ministries, 950 Columbia St.

Washington will teach master classes for all levels from beginning to intermediate/advanced and Bboys from Tuesday through Thursday. Washington is a professional Hip Hop artist, emcee and Bboy from San Bernardino. His credits include: Hip Hop International, “America’s Got Talent,” 2010 NBA Finals, Urban Street Jam, Vibe Dance Comp., LA Clippers Fast Break Crew, Digital Underground, commercials, “Out for Fame,” and the Underdog Battle. He teaches and emcees internationally.  

The workshop is $50 for the entire week of classes. All are welcome. To register or receive a brochure call 667-9020 or log on to www.westsideministriesturlock.com. Donations to help fund this event can be sent to Westside Ministries, P.O. Box 354 Turlock, CA 95381.
