Drunk driving crackdown

POSTED December 16, 2011 8:59 p.m.

Area law enforcement is reminding holiday revelers to designate a sober driver before the festivities begin.
The Stanislaus County Avoid the 12 program has 19 DUI/ Driver's License Checkpoints, Multi Agency DUI Task Force deployments and roving DUI patrols scheduled for the holiday season. DUI Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence. Officers will be contacting drivers passing through the checkpoint for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment.
