Trio arrested for marijuana possession

A stop of a car for a vehicle code violation Wednesday led to the arrest of three men and the seizure of five pounds of marijuana, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The traffic stop was made around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Main and Beech streets. In the vehicle officers found an estimated five pounds of marijuana, according to the police report.

Arrested on suspicion of transportation of marijuana were: Antonio Sahagun, 21; Gonzalo Jimenez, 23; and Michael Saenz, 21. Sahagun and Saenz were also charged with being in possession of cocaine, the TPD reported.
