Police name suspect in Los Gallos shooting

Jorge Emanuel Martinez is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the shooting of a man at the Los Gallos restaurant on Nov. 4.

The suspect who allegedly shot another man inside a Turlock restaurant has been identified by the Turlock Police Department and remains a wanted individual.

The suspected shooter from the Nov. 4 attack at the Los Gallos restaurant has been identified as Jorge Emanuel Martinez, 26. Martinez is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the police report, Martinez allegedly got into an argument with two brothers at the restaurant on the night of Nov. 4. Martinez was hit with something, possible a bottle, during the altercation and then he pulled out his gun, said Turlock Police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.

According to witness accounts, the suspect started shooting and struck one of the brothers he had been fighting. The victim, a 22-year-old man, sustained a non-life threatening wound to his leg.

The second brother fled from the restaurant with Martinez allegedly following after him. The police report states Martinez fired several more shots in the restaurant parking lot.

Anyone with information on Martinez’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at 668-5550.
