Candlelight vigil planned

POSTED November 30, 2012 8:27 p.m.

The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Program is sponsoring the 15th annual Homicide Victims’ Candlelight Vigil and Memorial Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

District Attorney Birgit Fladager will open the ceremony on the Courthouse Lawn located at 1100 I Street in Modesto.

Friends and family of homicide victims are invited to attend and bring a non-breakable ornament to hang on the tree in remembrance of their loved ones who are no longer with them to celebrate the holiday season as a result of the criminal acts of others.

In case of rain, the program will be moved to the parking garage at 832 12th street, across from the courthouse. For more information, contact the Victim Services Program at 525-5541.
