Police still seek victim in shooting

POSTED December 24, 2012 4:03 p.m.

The Turlock Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that as of yet has not led to a gunshot victim.

The sound of shots fired was reported around 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Oxford Court.

When officers arrived they found a busted garage door in the driveway, but no one at the house, Turlock Police Lt. Nino Amirfar said.

Inside the home investigators found evidence that a shooting had occurred, including blood evidence, but no victim, Amirfar said.

It was thought the victim might have been taken to a Modesto hospital, where a gunshot victim was reported, but that shooting was from a Modesto case.

The home is a rental and was being occupied by a third party, Amirfar said.

It’s suspected the garage door was broken after the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Turlock Police Detective Cristina Magana at 668-5550 ext. 6627.
