Officers catch auto burglary suspects

Two men remain jailed on burglary charges after they were allegedly seen breaking into a vehicle in a Turlock neighborhood.

James McCormick, 35, and Gary Fleming, 42, were apprehended by Turlock Police officers after a witness reportedly saw them stealing property out of a vehicle in the 2300 block of Drew Avenue Wednesday morning.

According to the witness, the two fled the scene in a pickup truck. An officer responding to the scene spotted the truck and pulled it over on Geer Road.

In the truck officers found stolen property and placed both men under arrest.

The stolen property was returned to the victim.
