The Merced County sheriff’s Department is investigating a home invasion in Delhi where the suspect beat two people but took nothing from the home.

The two victims, a male and female, were taken to an area hospital for treatment following Thursday night’s attack.

The home invasion was reported around 6:45 p.m. Thursday in the 16000 block of Bradbury Rd.

According to the sheriff’s department, the suspect entered the home after breaking a window.

The suspect, who was shirtless, struck the female down to the ground and when the male resident came to her aid, the suspect attacked him, the sheriff’s department reported.

The suspect then fled the home, without taking any items. No other suspect information was available.
