Turlock Police officers solved two burglaries Friday night after catching a suspect inside a sandwich shop after business hours.

The suspect, identified as Silas Scott, 19, is believed to have broken into a Quizno’s Sub shop after breaking into Bonander Truck Sales.

Around 4 a.m. Friday the police department was contacted by Crimetek Security for an alarm that was sounding at the Quizno’s Sub shop at 2868 W. Monte Vista Ave., in Turlock.

Officers responded to the eatery and detained Scott at the scene after finding the shop had been ransacked.

Scott is suspected of breaking into the business and stealing the cash and change from the register.

While searching Scott, officers found identification and property on him that had recently been stolen from Bonander Truck Sales at 4520 N. Golden State Blvd., in Turlock.

Scott also was in possession of several sets of vehicle and house keys.

Scott was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and for possession of burglary tools.
