Stabbing victim uncooperative

A Turlock Police officer investigating a suspicious vehicle found a man with two stab wounds inside the vehicle.

The victim was found in the area of Mitchell Avenue and Wayside Drive around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The stabbing had occurred in the Kenwood Avenue area that is a county island and as such the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department took over the investigation, said Turlock Police Lt. Jeff Lopes.

Sheriff spokesman Sgt. Keith Rakoncza said the victim sustained a puncture wound to the chest and the left bicep. Neither injury was life-threatening, Rakoncza said. The victim was transported to Memorial Medical center for treatment.

Rakoncza said the victim was uncooperative with investigators and would not provide details about the stabbing, including who stabbed him.
