Suspicious fire

The Turlock Fire Department is investigating a fire at a home that has sat vacant for more than three years.

The fire was reported at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday at 718 South Ave.

According to the fire department, the fire started on an exterior porch and spread through the inside of the home.

The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes and put out within 40 minutes.

A total of 13 fire fighters and four engines responded to the fire.
