CSU Stanislaus business students win prestigious scholarship

POSTED April 22, 2011 8:59 p.m.

Two California State University, Stanislaus business students earned the 2011 Lynn Boone Memorial Scholarship, given to the top Human Resources students in Northern California.

Danielle Fletcher, president of the CSU Stanislaus HR club, and Jacquie Kinimaka, a star of the 2011 HR Games team and a former CSU Stanislaus Track athlete, each will receive a $3,000 scholarship.

“You cannot know how much this changes my life,” Kinimaka said. “I can now afford to work on an internship this summer and focus on developing new skills and learning as much as I can. I am very thankful to the HR Symposium and the Lynn Boone Memorial committee.”

Fletcher already won the National Society for Human Resource Management Undergraduate Award, the National Society for Human Resource Management Internship Award, and was the opening speaker at the 2010 National Society for Human Resource Management Conference in San Diego.
