Outlook: It’s difficult to talk about this season without mentioning the importance of staying healthy and avoiding injuries for this small-school program, who had just 13 players by the last season’s finale. So the Turlock Christian coaching staff and players are committed to doing whatever it takes to keep players from injuries, including tackling with the proper form in practice and hitting the weight room after practice, a new routine this season. With those steps in place, the Eagles are set to prove what they can do with a healthy bunch, especially knowing that they have key returners such as quarterback Chase Gonzalez, receiver Nick Truax and running back Schyler Johnson.
