Both Stanislaus soccer teams earn rankings

The initial Continental Tire/NSCAA poll was released Monday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and the Cal State Stanislaus men's and women's soccer teams both made the lists.
The men's team debuts at No. 6 after two victories over the opening weekend with wins over quality programs. The Warriors beat Fresno Pacific, 4-1, on Friday and capped with a thrilling win over Notre Dame de Namur, 2-1, on Sunday.
The women's team, ranked No. 7 in the West in the first poll, battled to a scoreless tie with Central Washington last Thursday despite completely dominating the Wildcats. The Warriors then handled Notre Dame de Namur, 4-0, Saturday.
The Warriors open CCAA action this Friday when they host Humboldt State. Women's match is at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men’s at 7 p.m.
