Inside perhaps the toughest arena to play in the CCAA, the Cal State Stanislaus men's basketball team saw its win-streak end at three with a 91-76 setback to No. 8 Humboldt State Monday night.

The Warriors got 15 points from Vince Fuller and 12 from Joe Malone as they dropped to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Stanislaus had started 6-1 this season and won its last three games, including Saturday's 73-61 victory at Sonoma State.

Reggie Jones had just nine points on 4 of 4 shooting with one free throw in 13 minutes (all in the first half) on the night. Jones did not play in the second half after he sprained his ankle in the first when he was tangled up with HSU's Randy Hunter. Frank Monge pulled a team-high 10 rebounds with nine points in his second game this season.

Humboldt State (7-2, 3-2 CCAA) made 13 three-pointers as a team and was led by Austin Bryan with 19 points. Bryan was one of five Lumberjacks in double-digits in scoring as they shot 50 percent from the field in front of an as-usual-lively home crowd of 1,100.

The Warriors made 42.4 percent of their shots and were just out-shot from the floor for just the first time this season.

HSU led from the start and had a 16-point advantage with 8:02 left in the first half after a Ethan Dillard three-pointer that made it 33-17. Cal State Stanislaus, though, battled all the way back and tied the game with 52 seconds left on a Malone trey to make it 43-43.

Without Jones in the second half, the Warriors found themselves down by as many as 23 points with about six minutes left to play.

Cal State Stanislaus will be back in action on Dec. 29 when it hosts Dominican at Fitzpatrick Arena. Game time is at 7 p.m.
