Allison Kuchan signs with Missouri Valley

POSTED July 24, 2012 10:33 p.m.

After helping lead Pitman High to its first Central California Conference softball championship, Allison Kuchan is on her way to Missouri Valley College where she plans to continue her success on the field. Kuchan inked her letter of intent with the Vikings on Tuesday, becoming one of the many Pride athletes to commit to collegiate programs this year.

“We are very excited for Allison to join our program here at Missouri Valley,” MVC head coach Daniel Allen said. “We have high expectation for her and know that she will be an asset to MVC.”

Kuchan ended her high school softball career as team captain, was named team MVP, first team All- League, and earned All-Academic honors. She also played volleyball and basketball for the Pride.

Kuchan will join a Missouri Viking team that finished with an overall record of 15-22 last year and earned a spot in the conference postseason tournament. She is expected to compete for a starting position immediately.
