Warriors volleyball fall to Toros

Despite a career high of 18 kills by Jennifer Marsh, the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team fell to Cal State Dominguez Hills in four sets, 26-28, 25-22, 25-15, 25-14.
Marsh recorded her sixth straight double-digit kill night but the Warriors lowered their record to 9-20 overall and 6-15 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Marsh was coming off back-to-back 14-kill nights last weekend after a 17-kill performance the match prior at Chico State.
Chipping in to the team's total attacks were Andrea Fett with 16 kills and Melissa Bishop had 12. Fett also had 12 digs for her second straight double-double match. Bishop also had five blocks. Ashley Pittman had 22 digs for her fourth straight 20-dig contest.
The Warriors were down 11-6 early in the first set but rebounded to made it a close match. After holding off CSUDH set-points at 24 and 26, Stanislaus picked up the final two points on an attack error and won the set on a Bishop service ace. In the second set, the team were tied as late as 20-20 until the Toros scored five of the final seven points to for the win.
Four Toros (12-16, 10-11 CCAA) were in double-digits in kills as they were led by Abbey Prusa with 16 kills. Prusa also had seven block-assists. Elizabeth Krieger had 13 kills and 18 digs.
Cal State Stanislaus concludes its season today at Cal State L.A.
