There were plenty of low scores on a beautiful Tuesday in the Central Valley as the 38th annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational came to a close, with changes atop of the standings for the final results.

Cal State Monterey Bay fired a 282 as a team — 10 better than host and Day 1 leader Cal State Stanislaus —  to win the tournament with a six-over par 870 group total. The Otters were led by Scott Yeakel, who was the individual medalist with a seven-under 209 for the 54-hole tournament.

The event, hosted by the 19th-ranked Warriors, was at the Turlock Golf and Country Club's par-72, 6641-yard course.

In all, 13 under-par scores were turned in during Tuesday's final round with Cal State Stanislaus' Andre Navarro being the low-man with a 67, equaling the tournament’s low score. His score was one of eight in the 60s for the day.

However, the No. 14 Cal State Monterey Bay Otters had four scores at par 72 or lower on the day. The Otters dropped a 75 and counted 282 to leap past the Warriors for the win. Brothers Dylan and John Jackson both shot 72s and DJ Milligan was even.

For the Warriors, Navarro ended up fifth with a 214 for his best collegiate tournament finish. Teddy Schrier was the team's leader for the tournament as he placed third with a 213 total. Brandon Taylor rebounded with a 74 on Tuesday (230 total). J.T. Cockerill (224) and Trevor Blair (226) rounded out the Stanislaus scoring.

The Warriors and the rest of the CCAA teams will compete in the CCAA men's golf championships next weekend at Paso Robles. The practice round is on Sunday with 54-holes to be played on Monday and Tuesday at Hunter Ranch Golf Course.
