Stanislaus lands first-team honors

Senior pitcher Andrew Stueve was named to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association first team on Wednesday as it was voted by the head coaches and announced by the conference office.

Two other Warriors — sophomore second baseman Colton Beatty and senior rightfielder Zach Cadet — were added to the honorable mention list.

Stueve went 6-2 with a 2.46 ERA in 12 starts. He threw four complete games with one shutout. In 95 innings, he struck out 67 and allowed just 11 walks while opponents batted just .219 against him. Stueve earned NCBWA Regional pitcher of the week and CCAA pitcher of the week for March 21-27.

Beatty batted .311 with seven doubles, two triples and two homers and drove in 26 runs in 43 games played. Cadet batted .302 with 12 doubles, a homer and 21 runs batted in.

Regular-season baseball champion UC San Diego placed a conference-high five players on the all-conference first team.
