Keep county fair a real fair

POSTED July 3, 2012 9:52 p.m.

A better way to solve the problem of overcrowding (of livestock at the Stanislaus County Fair) would be to have the judging before the fair starts if necessary. Then allow each 4-H and FFA club to exhibit a predetermined number of animals including their sale animals.

Keep the county fair a real fair.

In my younger life time I have shown dairy cattle at all the county fairs in Central Valley — none compared to Stanislaus County Fair.

This fair has lived up to the true meaning of local fair — emphasizing agriculture and the home arts.
