More communication, please

POSTED November 6, 2012 7:36 p.m.

It was quite a surprise when we started getting a lot of kids coming in our (downtown) store looking for their Halloween candy. We were told by the city that there was not going to be anything going on this year. It seems that the powers of city hall don't want to keep the shops informed. I guess we don't count.

We always have a little bit of candy for our customers, but I was working alone that day and there was not enough candy to go around. I sent a customer to buy some; can we say embarrassing.

A little communication would go a long ways.
