Health department warns consumers not to eat certain Bavan brand candies from India

Dr. Ron Chapman, director of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), issued a warning to consumers not to eat BAVAN Brand Sugar Rewari candy imported from India, after tests conducted by CDPH found unacceptable levels of lead. The candy is also packaged under the names Sugar Redoi and Sugar Reori.  Consumers in possession of the candy should discard it immediately. Read More
