Turlock Wrestling places 11th at Reno Worlds

The Turlock Wrestling Club marked the end of the Folkstyle season with an 11th place team finish at last weekend's 2015 Flo Reno Worlds Championships. Eight of the club's 28 participating wrestlers placed fifth or better in their respective brackets, including Mason Ontiveros (60) who won gold in the 6U division.

Pride baseball just behind Turlock in CCC

The Pitman High Pride varsity baseball team is now 6-1 in the Central California Conference after beating Atwater, 2-1, on Friday afternoon thanks to Josh Hernandez's  6 and 2/3 innings pitched as he gave up only one run on four hits and walked two.

Two men, one boat equals one great day

These past few weeks my older sister, her husband, and two boys were visiting all the way from England. I was able to take my brother-in-law out fishing with me twice. Both times we limited out and really had a great time.

Delhi tops Denair at home 1-0

Although the 2015 season hasn't brought a winning year for Delhi (2-7-1) and Denair (0-8-2) High's varsity girls’ soccer squads, the two teams have been grinding out in the Southern Athletic League with the top teams in the standings and on Wednesday afternoon both teams met for a showdown.

Pitman snatches victory from Turlock

Pitman High hosted rival Turlock High Tuesday afternoon in the second cross-town soccer match of the season. The Bulldogs (7-2-1 CCC) entered the match on a five-game win streak and with a share of first place in the Central California Conference. The Pride (4-4-2 CCC) entered with third-place status in the CCC and the memory of their last meeting with Turlock, a 3-1 loss, fresh in their minds.

With the end of the regular season in sight, Turlock, Pitman and Hilmar High golf took a break from the Central California Conference and the Trans Valley League for non-league competition at the Pitman Invitational at the Diablo Grande Golf & Country Club in Patterson on Monday.
