The Modesto Junior College Dance Department will present the annual Choreographer’s Showcase at 7 p.m. April 16, 17 and 18 in the Cabaret West Dance Theatre of the El Capitan Building on the West Campus.

The evening of student choreography will feature dance styles in contemporary, jazz, hip hop and belly dance.  At the April 17 performance the Celebration of Arts and Humanities awards in Dance will be presented with a reception following the concert. 

Student choreographers will include Rachel Aquiniga-Burns, Lea Austin, Natalie Batista, Nick Bentley, Jessica Espinoza, Benjamin Gallegos, Jodie LaDuca, Rene Matute, Anthony Perez, Sandra Scheuber, Blair Shearer-Pope, Maggie Sniffen, Amie Whitler, Kianna Whitten, Maci Williams and Franky Yangat.

Guest dancers from 5,6,7,8 Dance and Juline Regional Ballet will also perform.

Tickets are $8 and will be available at the door beginning 90 minutes prior to the performance.
