Arsonist ignites three fires in one night

An arsonist is suspected of igniting three fires around Turlock on Monday, the Turlock Police Department reported.

There were no reported injuries from any of the fires and the firefighters from the Turlock Fire Department were able to keep the flames from spreading.

The first fire was reported at 8:12 p.m. at Columbia Park, where a trash can had been set on fire.

The second fire was reported at 10:17 p.m. in the 500 block of Jason Drive. The suspect had set a Porta-Potty on fire at a construction site, according to the police report.

The final report came at 10:33 p.m. from a business in the 1300 block of W. Main Street. In that case a Dumpster behind the business had been set ablaze.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male around 30 to 40 years old. He has curly hair and a beard.
