The Turlock Police Department is investigating the death of a man found hanging in an orchard.

The deceased has been identified, said police spokesman Sgt. Nino Amirfar, but his name is not being released pending notification of next of kin. He was described as a 46-year-old white man.

A person out walking a dog found the body Monday morning in the 1000 block of Fransil Lane.

The death appears to be a suicide and no suspicious circumstances were uncovered.
