A Turlock man was arrested on assault charges after using his car to ram another vehicle that his girlfriend was in at the time.

Edgar Urbina, 26, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, felony domestic battery and making criminal threats.

The incident was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. June 7 in the area of Starr Avenue and Geer Road.

The Turlock Police Department was already investigating an alleged domestic battery incident between Urbina and his girlfriend that happened earlier that day when they were contacted about another incident.

According to the police report, Urbina intentionally used his car to ram his girlfriend’s vehicle, while she was in it.

Urbina was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail.
