The pretrial hearing for Jessica Mae Betts, the 19-year-old accused of killing her newborn and discarding her in a Dumpster, was continued for three months.
On Thursday Betts’ defense attorney, Public Defender Sonny Sandhu, requested additional time for experts to review medical records of the case.
The hearing was rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 24.
Betts, arrested in November 2008, remains jailed at the Public Safety facility on a $1 million bail.
