The Avoid the 12 campaign targeting drunk drivers over the Fourth of July weekend resulted in 42 arrests.
The campaign, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety, conducted extra patrols throughout Stanislaus County from Friday through Sunday and a sobriety checkpoint in Turlock on Saturday.
