The Turlock Police Department is investigating a home invasion robbery that injured one man.

The robbery was reported around 8:30 p.m. Monday at an apartment in the 1000 block of N. Olive Avenue.

The two robbers broke into the residence armed with weapons, but the police department did not specify what kind of weapons.

The residence was occupied by a husband and wife and the husband sustained a head injury during the incident, said Sgt. Steve Crawford.

Personal property was taken from the home.

The victims were cooperating with the detectives. Investigators were trying to determine if the couple was chosen at random or if they were targeted by the robbers.

The suspects eluded capture. They were described as black males in their early to late 20s.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Detective Frank Navarro at 668-5550 ext. 6619.
