A Turlock man has been arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation by the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Brian Robert Garrett, 25, was taken into custody on Monday on federal charges of production, receipt and distribution, and possession of child pornography, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, which operates the task force.
Garrett was arrested at his home in the 1900 block of Joett Drive in Turlock. A search of his residence also led to the seizure of his computer.
Garrett was identified earlier this month by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., as a person receiving child pornography over the Internet. Garrett allegedly purchased and sent a digital camera to a 14-year-old girl to produce sexually explicit images of herself and return them to him.
Garrett was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail.
