Man shot during Turlock dispute

A man is recovering from a gunshot wound after a dispute at a Turlock apartment complex took a deadly turn Friday night.

The Turlock Police Department said the shooter, along with other individuals involved in the incident, has been identified, but no arrests have been made at this time.

Police officers were dispatched to The Palms apartments at 1119 Pedras Rd. at 11:07 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the male victim and provided life saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital and underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition, according to the police department.

"The investigation revealed that all parties involved were known to each other and that this incident stemmed from a dispute," said police spokesperson Deandra Wiley in a news release. "There are no outstanding suspects or witnesses and all five individuals involved have been identified. No arrests have been made at this time, pending further investigation. In addition, the firearm used has been recovered as evidence."

Initial reports indicated someone had also been stabbed at the residence, but Wiley said there was no stabbing.
