Marijuana plants seized in Turlock raid

An ongoing investigation by the Turlock Narcotics Enforcement Team resulted in the arrest of a man on drug charges and the seizure of more than 2,000 marijuana plants.

Around 3 p.m. Monday, the Turlock Police Department’s narcotics unit served a search warrant at a home in the 1600 block of E. Tuolumne Road. The search warrant was obtained through the extended investigation into the activities happening at the residence.

Inside the home the narcotics unit found an estimated 2,000 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. All the plants were seized.

The occupant of the home, Santos Vasquez, 40, of Turlock was arrested for cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale.
