Officers bust man with counterfeit money

A probation search led to the discovery of counterfeiting activity operating out of a Turlock motel.

The probation search occurred at 10:25 a.m. Sunday at a motel in the 100 block of N. Tully Road and resulted in the arrest of Brandon Birdsong, 36, according to the Turlock Police Department.

During the search officers found counterfeit bills and items used in the manufacturing of counterfeit bills, according to the police report.

Birdsong also was found in possession of methamphetamine, the TPD reported.
