Police investigate fatal shooting in Turlock

A Turlock resident was shot to death Wednesday night on Golden State Boulevard.

The name of the 51-year-old man has not been released pending next of kin notification.

The shooting was reported to the Turlock Police Department at 10:06 p.m. and within one minute officers had responded to the scene, said TPD spokesperson Deandra Wiley.

The officers found the gunshot victim and he was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The shooting happened in the 1100 block of N. Golden State Boulevard, which is between Almond Avenue and Twentieth Century Boulevard.

In the preliminary stages of this investigation, detectives have determined there are at least two suspects, one male and one female. The suspects fled the scene in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. There is no description available on either suspect at this time.
