The Turlock Fire Department is following up on leads on a hit and run incident that hospitalized one man with serious injuries.

The hit and run happened at 9:45 p.m. June 30 on E. Olive Avenue.

The male victim was crossing E. Olive Avenue near Bonita Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle headed westbound on E. Olive Avenue, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The driver of the vehicle drove away from the scene, Parmley said.

Emergency personnel found the man with serious injuries, including several broken bones. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

While officers were still processing the scene of the collision, a woman arrived with information about the suspect’s vehicle.

The woman gave the officers information regarding the location of the vehicle. It was found and towed as evidence.

“The responsible driver has not yet been located or positively identified,” Parmley said. “Officers will be doing follow up investigations into this incident.”
