A brawl between several individuals in the middle of a Turlock street resulted in three people being treated for stab wounds.

The incident, which remains under investigation by the Turlock Police Department, was reported around 8:50 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Wolfe Avenue.

Most of the individuals involved in the fight had fled the scene by the time Turlock Police officers arrived. The officers did find one man with a non-life threatening stab wound and he was transported to a local hospital, Sgt. Stephen Webb said.

Other victims who remained at the scene reported they had been punched and kicked in the melee, Webb said.

As the night progressed investigators learned two other people had arrived at an area hospital with stab wounds.

It’s unknown at this time what sparked the brawl or if it was gang-related. Neighbors reported hearing profanity yelled prior to the brawl’s outbreak.

The stabbing victims are 43, 36, and 22 years old.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective James Brewer at 668-5550 ext. 6631.
