The Stanislaus County Auto Theft Taskforce apprehended a Turlock resident on an allegation of auto theft after spotting the stolen vehicle in Modesto.
On Tuesday the agents were in the area of Carpenter Road and Kansas Avenue in Modesto when they spotted a 2017 Ford Focus that had been reported stolen out of Turlock.
StanCATT conducted surveillance on the driver, later identified as Ramil Khodiadeh, 22, of Turlock. They requested the assistance of the Modesto Police Department when Khodiadeh entered a store.
Officers and K9 Hank responded to the area and found Khodiadeh in the back of store attempting to conceal packaged saw blades down his pants. He surrendered to K9 Hank.
Khodiadeh was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of auto theft and a probation violation. He is currently on probation for auto theft. The vehicle was released to the owner.
