Woman robbed at ATM in Turlock
TPD

The Turlock Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a woman at an ATM and injured a Good Samaritan who tried to help.

The robbery happened at 2:11 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Fulkerth Road.

The victim was getting cash out of an ATM when the suspect came up behind her and grabbed her purse, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Mike Parmley.

The suspect pushed the woman down to the ground and then ran to a light blue newer model BMW.

A woman who witnessed the robbery tried to help the victim by getting her purse back, Parmley said. The woman reached her arm into the vehicle and was just about able to reach the purse when the suspect put the car into reverse and pulled out, causing the woman to fall and injure herself.

A short time later the purse was found in the area of Washington and Fulkerth, but the cash was missing.

The suspect was described as a white male adult with blond hair. He was wearing a gray sweater and a black mask.

Anyone with information about the suspect can contact the Turlock Police Department’s Tip Line at (209) 668-5550 extension 6780 or email at tpdtipline@turlock.ca.us.
